**ROLE**

The AEC Applications unit is dedicated to enhancing project delivery efficiency by managing and implementing engineering software and construction applications. **JOB PURPOSE**

In **COMPANY** and the Connecticut Airport Authority, this role involves overseeing a team of employees, working on complex engineering tasks in various project aspects. You'll be instrumental in engineering projects concerning areas like administration, design, maintenance, and research.

EXAMPLE TASKS
Oversee lower-level engineers and manage complex design projects; inspect bridge sites for design purposes; conduct structural inspections and prepare repair recommendations; perform research on construction materials; review storm sewer designs and computations; provide technical advice on pollution control and stormwater management; ensure highway lighting and traffic systems are maintained; assist in the planning and design of electrical installations; make project reports and analyze routes for efficiency.

**REQUIREMENTS**
Considerable knowledge of transportation engineering principles; strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interpret and apply information technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with O365 and COMPASS
  • Proficiency in delivering presentations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Experience with transportation project development
  • Proficiency in engineering and construction-related procedures
  • Quick adaptability to new software applications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1.
Must hold a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license
2. Travel may be required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
In this role, expect exposure to various physical environments and weather conditions typical to construction and highway projects.
