JOB SUMMARY:

Focuses on leading hourly Team Members to achieve production schedules, food safety/quality, and workplace safety goals. As a member of management, the Production Lead must drive department and facility objectives and effectively train, coach, and counsel Team Members following company policies.

Responsible for enforcing company work rules and policies, including recommending disciplinary actions for employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

- Conducts quality assurance testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor.
a. Utilizes and/or adapts inspection equipment to maintain quality control standards and suggests improvements.
b. Investigates and identifies causes of faulty work, advising production supervisors on corrective measures.
c. Ensures accuracy of sell-by and production dates on product runs.
d. Analyzes individual problems to determine appropriate actions within standard practices.
e. Measures and tests product quality, material reliability, and process efficiency.

- May perform additional assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Experience in food manufacturing quality control is a plus
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is desirable
- Solid math skills
- Organized with keen attention to detail
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Adaptable, dependable, and works well in a team
- Presents a professional attitude and appearance
- Applies common sense to follow instructions and problem-solving.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ACTIVITIES:
- Manufacturing tasks on the plant floor, involving standing or sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting.

HEARING:
- Requires ability to hear conversations and receive information under varying noise levels.

REPETITIVE MOTION:
- Involves frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES:
- Average visual acuity for document preparation, product inspection, and machinery operation.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
- Regularly lifts/moves up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds throughout the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in a no-kill food processing environment with wet, damp, and cold conditions, including below-freezing temperatures for extended periods.
