Key Responsibilities:

Sanitation Operations Management:

  • Establish and execute sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines to uphold high cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
  • Supervise daily sanitation tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, waste management, and pest control to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Regularly inspect sanitation conditions, identify potential issues, and promptly resolve them.
  • Manage sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals inventory, and collaborate with vendors for timely procurement.
  • Lead and oversee sanitation staff, offer guidance, support, and feedback to ensure top performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and manage the sanitation operations budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards

2 Regulatory Compliance:

  • Keep updated on local, state, and federal sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance at the facility and making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sanitation operations, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and training records for compliance demonstration and audits

3 Quality Control and Safety:

  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee sanitation processes meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address sanitation-related issues impacting product quality and safety.
  • Promote a safety culture by enforcing guidelines, providing safety training, and addressing concerns or incidents promptly

4 Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of sanitation operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, and propose relevant enhancements or upgrades

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered instead of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in sanitation management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing setting.
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation regulations, especially industry-specific ones.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset focusing on quality control and compliance.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across teams and communication at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including working with sanitation management software and MS Office applications.
  • Certification in sanitation management or related areas is a plus.
