Medical Front Desk Specialist

_Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the morning huddle with the clinical team to get organized for the day
  • Check patients in and out / collect copays / update demographics as needed
  • Obtain consent forms from patients at checkin
  • Present Treatment Plans and Financial Estimates
  • Schedule patients for future appointments at checkout
  • Submit verification of benefits and/or preauthorization requests as needed throughout the day
  • Calculate insurance coverage based on VOB and explain financials to patients for recommended treatment / set up payment plans as needed
  • Request referrals from other providers when required for upcoming appointments
  • Scan/upload documentation to patient charts throughout the day
  • Assist with records requests and other administrative duties as required
Minimum 3 years in a medical office front desk environment

Experience presenting and explaining insurance coverage and financial responsibility to patients

Ability to project a confident, professional image in person and on the phone

This position is full-time; office hours are currently Monday through Thursday, 30-40 hours per week. Hourly rate based on skills and experience. Vacation and paid time off available after completion of applicable waiting periods.

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
