**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**

Constellation is seeking a candidate for an Origination Analyst position who will be working in the Wholesale Origination Team. This role is at the forefront of innovative sustainability solutions for our customers and will be responsible for transaction support covering all aspects of wholesale power origination, pricing, and structuring, negotiation of power purchase agreements and other off-take agreements for renewable energy projects. The role is also responsible for preparing term sheets, supporting interactions across the deal team which includes groups such as Structuring, Trading, Credit, Risk and Legal, and preparing materials and presentations for final deal approvals. The successful candidates will have a solid track record of success working on teams, driving results, displaying analytic rigor, have the ability for overnight travel, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Constellation Origination team is based in Baltimore at the Constellation headquarters, but this role can be flexible for remote work.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**

+ Support power origination team in process of structuring and negotiating large renewable power transactions. Help develop transactional opportunities in accordance with the company's strategies and provide analytic function toward successful transaction execution and revenue generation.

+ Support project marketing and proposal development including comparative economic analyses and sensitivities.

+ Integrate input from a variety of internal functional areas into a cohesive and succinct product for internal approval processes and proposal responses.

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**

Constellation is looking for a dedicated Originator to join our Wholesale Origination Team.

In this role, the Originator will be instrumental in facilitating the development of innovative sustainability solutions for our customers. The primary responsibilities will involve supporting the negotiation and execution of structured wholesale power transactions, with a particular emphasis on load sales, generation offtake transactions and supporting Constellations Clean Energy Centers. This includes renewables and carbon free sources to support new technologies and ESG focused loads (including but not limited to renewable PPAs, hydrogen production, direct air capture, data centers and behind the meter loads).

This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with renewable and hydrogen developers and strategic load customers, preparing and negotiating term sheets, and liaising with cross-functional teams including Structuring, Trading, Credit, Risk, and Legal. The successful candidate will bring an understanding of key project risks including interconnection, local permitting, environmental, land, EPC and overall project viability, and will be adept at explaining these details to strategic load customers. Familiarity with PJM, ERCOT, New York, WECC and/or MISO markets is preferred. The Constellation Origination team is based in Baltimore at the Constellation headquarters, but this role can be flexible for remote work.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**

+ Assist and support in originating, structuring and negotiating large power transactions with a focus on carbon free. Help to develop transactional opportunities aligned with the company's strategies and manage relationships with existing and potential customers and counterparties.

+ Participate in negotiating all financial and operational terms of the originated structured transactions resulting in executed contractual agreements. Develop and maintain customer relationships and understand wholesale renewable market risks to communicate to retail customers.

+ Support cross-functional teams with retail sales, pricing, legal and other departments in executing large utility scale renewable power purchase agreements.

+ Contribute to and assist in leading internal transaction approval presentations.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Undergraduate degree required.

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in energy industry.

+ Understanding of key aspects of the wholesale power business especially in deal origination Experience in assistingcommercial transactions and PPA negotiations and other related offtake agreements.

+ Wholesale customer-facing transactional experience with strong networking, negotiation and time management skills. Background and experience in storage technologies.

+ Strong analytical capabilities in transaction negotiation and financial analysis of structures wholesale power transaction.

+ Knowledge of North American regional power markets including transmission and interconnection queues.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.

+ Ability to work independently as a team member and demonstrated ability to perform under time and pressure conditions.
