Budget Analyst Job Description

Baltimore City Community College is seeking a skilled Budget Analyst to join its Finance and Administration team. As a key member of the Finance Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex budget tasks, analyzing financial data, and providing excellent customer service to departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly analysis reports using financial databases and information systems.
  • Calculate revenue and expenditure variances for each program to advise key stakeholders on fiscal management.
  • Reconcile data with the Budget Office's database to ensure synchronicity between all data sources.
  • Notify Human Resources and Payroll of budgeted funding sources and update them as directed.
  • Prepare analyses of budget data, identify trends, and determine appropriation needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Three years of budget experience.
  • Proficiency in software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
