As a Head of Business Development, you will lead a team of Account Executives to exceed B2B sales goals and establish strategic partnerships across various markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the exploration of new business ventures aligned with company goals
- Mentor the Account Executive team to build the sales pipeline and achieve targets
- Develop long-term sales and partnership strategies, collaborating with marketing
- Create systems for identifying and nurturing strategic partnerships and markets
- Present progress reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline, setting financial targets and managing team performance
- Conduct outreach to potential clients and own the negotiation process
- Provide training to sales teams and partners and handle RFP processes
- Research market trends and propose new solutions
- Network to stay updated on market and competitor trends
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise a team of 3-5 Full-time Equivalent employees, ensuring performance and team development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 12-15 years of business development experience or equivalent
- Data-driven and goal-oriented mindset
- Proven track record in finding strategic partnerships and negotiating at executive levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead in a team environment with a positive attitude
- Experience in expanding and nurturing partnerships over time
- Commitment to collaboration and team building
- Excellent communication skills and prior sales success
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Web applications
- Background check clearance required
