Position Details

Position Summary

As our Senior Controls System Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, commissioning, and modifying PLC or Microprocessor-based control systems for petrochemical and industrial valves. Your role will involve working on equipment at the company site or customer locations, troubleshooting, testing new systems, and developing software to ensure efficient production.

Principal Activities
  • Program and deploy PLC control systems.
  • Configure and set up company-designed digital valve controllers (DVCs) in industrial environments for optimal performance.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance, installation, and modifications both on-site and at customer locations.
  • Support the startup and commissioning of PLC and DVC systems.
  • Participate in testing, repair, adjustment, and maintenance of control systems.
  • Ensure proper installation for site acceptance tests.
  • Conduct testing and maintenance activities on systems in the field.
  • Provide technical data for engineering support and project activities.
  • Calibrate field instrumentation and analyze operational issues to implement solutions.
  • Create detailed customer service reports.
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties.

Job Requirements:

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of PLC systems and ability to ensure safe and reliable system operation.
  • Experience in PLC programming, reading schematics, and conducting various tests.
  • Proficiency in using multimeters, handheld communicators, and calibrating field instruments.
  • Sound knowledge of controls and familiarity with valves and hydraulics.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with technical training.
  • Background in manufacturing and petrochemical sectors preferred.
