Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Materials Engineer to join our team in Columbus, IN or work remotely from your home office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing and testing materials to enhance the performance of various systems, including IC engines, electric power systems, and more.

  • As a Materials Science Engineer or Chemist, you will:
  • Apply your expertise in materials science and chemistry to develop innovative solutions
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to optimize material selection and manufacturing processes
  • Utilize your knowledge of surface engineering to enhance component performance
  • Evaluate material and process options to meet design requirements
  • Conduct various analyses to address product and manufacturing issues

You will make an impact by:

  • Investigating product and manufacturing challenges
  • Utilizing your understanding of Physics and Chemistry to propose effective solutions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to drive project success
  • Using advanced tools like SEM, Optical Microscopy, and Chemical Spectroscopy

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications:

  • Open to all Engineering Majors
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
