Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team in San Luis Obispo, CA. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in implementing effective hiring strategies, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires. Attention to detail and effective communication are critical to improving our talent acquisition processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Filter and select candidates for various positions within the company
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for employees at the company
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Conduct regular reviews of employee performance
  • Assist with managing employee welfare

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition and HR policy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in talent acquisition for technology or engineering companies
  • Experience managing DoD contracts
  • Ability to mentor and train junior HR professionals
