Overview:

As a member of our People & Culture team, the Human Resources Generalist will perform HR day-to-day and continuous improvement tasks. The Human Resources Generalist must have great attention to detail and be deadline-driven to support efforts in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, off boarding, leave of absence administration and policy, and employment law compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the administration of the employee benefit programs, including health and welfare insurance plans, 401(k) retirement plan, wellness initiatives, and new employee benefit orientations.
  • Assist employees with Broker for benefit issues, mid-year changes, new employee benefits and related. Collaborate with our broker to administer employee benefits.
  • Address questions and issues relating to benefits, policies, etc., escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Assist in organizing employee events, training sessions, and other HR programs; collaborate cross functionally to ensure successful communication efforts are reached, employees have access to the appropriate resources, and gathering post-event feedback. Own the development of training materials and resources.
  • Act as workers comp liaison for employees, ensuring effective claim management.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensuring company policies and procedures are in compliance.
  • Coordinate with Payroll on system processing requirements for new hires, terminations, and position changes.
  • Respond to unemployment insurance and EEOC requests for information.
  • Work with our leave management vendor to support employee leaves of absence, understanding the basics of leave management and being comfortable with explaining our company leave policies and practices.
  • Stay up to date on US benefits regulations like ACA (Affordable Care Act) and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee and execute HR operations, including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, employee records maintenance, benefits, and data integrity.
  • Monitor and manager the HR inbox on a daily basis, responding to all inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures. Serve as a primary contact for employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Take ownership of requests and delegated actions in a swift, professional manner while keeping relevant stakeholders updated.
  • Research trends and best practices and develop recommendations. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Monitor programs and policies; identify opportunities for improvement and initiate appropriate enhancements and/or corrections.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Manager to develop innovative sourcing, recruitment strategies, and outreach opportunities to attract diverse, qualified candidates.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing HR workflows, devising solutions to automate and streamline processes.
  • May conduct exit interviews; compiles results of exit surveys and looks for trends to assist the business with identifying solutions to improve employee engagement and increase retention.
  • Maintains the HR SharePoint sites, ensuring information is current, easy to navigate, and is valuable to employees.
  • Develops and maintains an HR roadmap of overlapping projects and competing resources.
  • Assist with project management, ensuring the timely completion of projects by proactively communicating with relevant stakeholders regarding the progression of projects, task tracking, communications, and planning change management.
  • Proactively manages project milestones and timelines, oversees project development efforts to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and in scope.
  • Partners with HR functional leaders on development and deployment of project plans for HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of direct human resources experience.
  • A Degree in communications or Human Resources related field.
  • Strong ADP workforce now experience.
  • Exceptional people skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast paced team.
  • FT in person position located out of our corporate headquarters in San Ramon.
  • Pay range $80K - $95K, based on experience.
