BlossomHill Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Human Resources to build HR processes and to guide company-wide HR policies as our company grows and evolves, as well as to perform a variety of hands-on HR-related tasks.


We expect this person to be hands-on, performing virtually all day-to-day HR operating tasks, but also with adequate mid-level experience to serve as a 90% HR subject matter expert for the company.

The company will continue to retain expert external HR consultants for areas where additional HR-related guidance may be needed. BlossomHill was founded in 2020, and this will be our first in-house dedicated HR position.

The Associate Director of HR will initially perform work in three major areas:


First, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of current HR practices and procedures, identifying gaps in best practices, and recommending and implementing improvements.

Second, to lead the implementation and administration of a company-wide people management software solution.

Third, to perform day-to-day HR operations tasks, such as new employee onboarding, maintenance of company HR policies and procedures, maintenance of employee files, and managing annual company-wide processes such as open benefit enrollments and performance reviews.


We have aggressive hiring plans over the next two or three years, so the nature and focus of this position can be expected to evolve as the company grows.

This is a full-time position, with an onsite presence required, Monday through Friday. BlossomHill is a 100% on-site company, and remote work will not be considered for this position.


Essential Functions Comprehensive assessment of current HR practices and procedures, with recommendations for improvement; Implementation and administration of a company-wide people management software platform; HR subject matter expert for day-to-day HR operations, with guidance from more experienced HR consultants as necessary.

Onboarding new employees.

Drafting, implementing, and maintaining HR operating policies and EE handbook policies. Enrollments for benefits, including managing annual open enrollment; Screening candidates, including reference checks; Conducting employee trainings (e.g. Sexual Harassment Prevention);

Maintenance of employee files; Documentation of individual goals and performance reviews; Offboarding as required; Other

HR-related tasks, as needed.

Skills and Competencies SPHR certification highly preferred; Bachelor's degree in related field required; 5-7

years of experience in HR positions in a variety of companies required; Experience in biotech or tech companies preferred; Experience in a public company preferred; Strong communication and people management skills required; Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and goals with time constraints required; Self-sufficient;

willing and able to easily learn new tasks required;

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position is full-time and on-site at the company's office location; Monday through Friday.

As an exempt employee, occasional nights and/or weekend work may be expected.

Travel No travel is expected.
