Job Title: Commercial Energy Auditor/Consultant at CET

CET is in search of a skilled commercial energy auditor/consultant to perform audits and support commercial clients in executing projects that lead to estimated savings through weatherization and electrification measures for their businesses. The consultant collaborates with contractors to carry out proposed projects, and with utility partners to leverage available savings incentives, ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency goals.

  • Energy Assessments: Conduct energy assessments of business establishments and facilities, analyze assessment data, quantify savings potential on weatherization and equipment, and generate comprehensive recommendation reports.
  • Project Management: Stay updated on project progress and deliverables, liaise with the sales team as needed, manage multiple projects simultaneously, guarantee compliance with utility program requirements, and input assessment data into relevant databases.
  • Heat Pump Consultations: Educate customers on heat pump technology and energy efficiency benefits, review existing mechanical systems, advise on project proposals, and recommend available incentive funding.
  • Sales and Relationship Development: Communicate assessment results and energy-saving recommendations to customers, nurture ongoing customer relationships, identify additional assessment opportunities, install Instant Savings Measures, and explore potential future installations.
  • Extensive Travel: Travel throughout Massachusetts and neighboring states up to 40% of the work week.

As part of the role, membership in industry associations, professional development, and other assigned duties are expected.

Must also be capable of conducting on-site visits involving lifting and technical tasks. A passion for environmental causes and community engagement, along with a dedication to nonprofit work, is advantageous.
