Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer who is ready to actively support our initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency, providing daily assistance to field teams, project management, and customer relations. Your duties will encompass coordinating material delivery timelines, managing Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change order documentation, and acting as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders.

Knowledge Requirements: You will start by acquiring and applying professional concepts, utilizing company policies and procedures to address routine challenges.

Complexity of Work: You will encounter problems of limited scope, relying on established practices and procedures to assess situations and identify readily available solutions. This position necessitates the development of stable working relationships within the organization.

Supervision: As a self-motivated individual, you will be expected to demonstrate diligence and follow through on all assignments. You will typically receive detailed instructions for all tasks and expectations.

You possess a strong desire to learn and maintain a growth-oriented mindset. Your skill set includes exceptional organizational capabilities, effective communication across various channels, and a collaborative approach to teamwork. You are comfortable taking initiative and responsibility for your tasks. Safety is paramount, and you are prepared to don your personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

Pathway to Advancement: At Distributed Energy Infrastructure, you will embark on a career development journey towards project management or a superintendent role. You will collaborate closely with project teams and a project manager or project executive, working alongside field, engineering, and design teams. Even if you are new to electrical construction, your eagerness to learn and engage is what we value most. You will have the opportunity to gain insights from everyone you interact with—from journeymen to general foremen and your project team. Additionally, you will participate in vendor off-site meetings, training sessions, and other educational opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

We consider any combination of education and experience that, in our judgment, provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Required licenses or certifications may also qualify.

Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. If you are a field manager in the trades, we welcome you to join a team managed by individuals who have similarly advanced through the field into executive roles. Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Experience: No prior experience in construction or a related field is required, although two years of such experience is preferred.

Driving Record: A valid state-issued driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
