Clinician II - Mental Health Counselor - Part Time

Compass Health is currently looking for a Clinician II for our Community Outreach and Recovery Support (CORS) program in Bellingham.

The Clinician II works that clients receive high quality clinical care. This position provides a range of clinically indicated services including but not limited to outreach and engagement, assessing client functioning and needs, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management services for adults/older adults with behavioral health conditions. This position is responsible for assessing client functioning and needs, and partnering with the client to develop an individually tailored care plan designated to promote recovery. This position provides leadership for the Community Outreach and Recovery Team (CORS). The Clinician II is responsible for collaborating and coordinating with community agencies and organizations to facilitate access to the CORS team services.

The team you will be joining

The Community Outreach and Recovery Support Team (CORS) is a specialty program that works with adults in the community who need extra assistance to engage with treatment services and stabilize their housing situation. The team consists of a mix of Peer Counselors and Clinicians, who work in the community to outreach to individuals who would benefit from more intensive treatment services. The CORS team coordinates closely with other Compass Health treatment teams, as well as community partners who serve the same individuals.

What you will bring with you

MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.

* Current Washington State Licensure or equivalent in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the SAMSHA Fundamentals of Recovery and Evidence-Based Practices, or interest and ability to learn.

* Valid Washington State Driver's License including vehicle and appropriate insurance. Able to transport self to multiple community locations to deliver services, often over the course of a single day.

* Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.

* Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.

* Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

* General computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.

* Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.
