The 47th Force Support Squadron is dedicated to providing essential support services for military personnel and their families at Laughlin AFB.

Responsibilities as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (All Levels):
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and youth within various programs.
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities.
  • Organize and oversee indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, and events.
  • Follow program policies and regulations, including possible transportation responsibilities.
Child and Youth Program Assistant (Target Level):
  • Plan and lead activities for children and youth of different age groups.
  • Create a welcoming environment for participants to interact positively.
  • Implement special programs for children with specific needs.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and parents about activities.

Qualifying Experience:

All applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • The Child Development Program offers childcare fee discounts for staff members.
  • Discounts are available for employees with children enrolled in the program.
