SALARY:

$25.04 to $31.29+ per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU's compensation plan. RVU's full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

Recruit preceptors to expand and enhance a thorough preceptor network with a special focus on Required Emergency Medicine and elective clinical rotations. Focus Clinical Education Resource personnel efforts to recruit and retain quality preceptors.

Essential Job Functions
  • Recruit new doctors as preceptors for the RVUCOM clinical network.
  • Special emphasis on recruiting preceptors for Emergency Medicine and Critical Care required rotation experiences.
  • Recruit additional doctors as preceptors for elective externships available to RCUCOM students
  • Create and maintain a list of 4th year clerkships available for students.
  • Provide support and assistance to Regional Directors in the performance of their duties to increase clinical rotation opportunities for students.
  • Maintain accurate clinical information database for required and elective clinical rotation sites
  • Work in collaboration with Site Coordinators and Site Directors to enhance site-based core and required rotation experiences.
  • Provide support and assist the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Education, Assistant Dean of Clinical Education for Resources and the Clinical Education Manager and Director.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her designee.
Marginal Job Functions
  • Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary process improvement to identify future uses of the information systems and potential improvements in the current use of the clinical rotations systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution OR five (5) years equivalent work experience in medical education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post graduate degree
  • Five (5) years of work experience in medical education.
  • Work experience in a Medical School or Residency Program
  • Work experience in scheduling in a healthcare-related facility
