About the Role

The Clinical Educator is a registered professional nurse who demonstrates expertise in clinical nursing and a passion for ongoing support and development for AdventHealth clinical associates. This role assumes accountability and responsibility for provision of professional development to positively influence the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care in the area of their specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a program of education for their specialty
  • Coordinate orientation with facility departments in specialty area, ongoing staff competency, and continued education at the unit and/or facility level as identified by needs assessments, audits, data-informed decision making, and regulatory requirement initiatives
  • Apply policies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate to their populations
  • Work closely with the Clinical Specialist to align with annual specialty education initiatives, specialty orientation, and other enterprise initiatives
