Direct HireRate: $32/hr Essential FunctionsExperience in tool and die making, including designing, building, and repairing toolsExperience working in the automotive stamping industry on medium to large transfer dies is desiredProficiency in operating machine tools and utilizing precision measuring instrumentsPerform die repairs at the press and in the tool roomComplete Preventative Maintenance activities on the diesWeld a variety of materials used in maintenance and the tool roomRepair and maintain nitrogen pressure systems used in the diesQualificationsA state-issued journeyman's card or a minimum of (2) years of verifiable experience working on metal stamping diesStrong knowledge/experience related to draw dies and transfer die processesWelding experience and the ability to operate welding, plasma cutting, and oxy-acetylene equipment (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW)Knowledge of various materials and their propertiesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, root cause analysisQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
