Job Description:


With guidance from supervision, assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research.

Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

Duties/Responsibilities:


Assist in all aspects of a wheat genetics program including plant care, tissue sampling, DNA isolation, PCR, genotyping and data analysis.


Educational Qualifications Desired:
Possess or working toward a BS degree in biological or plant sciences.

Competencies and Experience Desired:


Experience in techniques needed for molecular marker analysis: tissue sampling, DNA isolation, PCR and various genotyping platforms such as KASP (Kompetitive Allele specific PCR).

Computer competency using Microsoft Office software.
