The principal responsibilities and accountabilities are as follows:
Reports directly to the RPMP/RPM RP Deployment Manager. Responsible for project management tasks on smaller projects with a demonstrated aptitude trending towards managing projects with higher degrees of risk, complexity, and sponsor interaction. Provides expert project delivery in adherence to schedule, budget, quality and performance with little supervision or management support. Prepare and maintain project or program plans, budgets, tracking progress, identifying, and resolving staffing and other complex issues. Maintain relationships and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Partner closely with project and program leadership and other team members to support the successful execution and stewardship of the work. Prepare complex purchase requisitions (PRs) and tracking procurements and service contracts throughout lifecycle. Work with non-sensitive, sensitive, and classified information as appropriate for projects and programs. Work to resolve complex problems by providing a new perspective on existing solutions, and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. The position is accountable for the oversight of the deployment schedule working in coordination with other project staff. Responsible for managing, tracking and statusing deployment schedules, including resources, milestones. Lead project teams in a fast-paced environment, identify RPM deployment support needs, scheduling coordination and resource tracking, and support sponsor requests for information. Providing weekly and sometimes daily, both written and verbal project updates, to the Deployment Manager and other project support staff, to ensure all areas of tracking responsibility are reported in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing milestone reporting and project areas of concern. Ability to empower project team and ensure each member is fully engaged in the project and making meaningful contributions. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
BS/BA and 5+ years of relevant project management experience -OR- MS/MA or higher and 3+ years of relevant project management experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting or managing projects in the following fields:- Data analytics OR
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning OR
- Engineering OR
- Complex security environment Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or demonstrated equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly tuned organizational skills, with the ability to organize oneself as well providing organizing principles to others. Working knowledge of PNNL customer service model, policies, procedures, and practices. Experience with DHS sponsors and projects (to ensure exposure to and interactions with different project aspects). Demonstrated experience in managing projects focused on the development and deployment of radiation detection systems, specifically focused on large-scale radiation detection systems like radiation portal monitors. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of project personnel to accomplish a goal and gather input/deliverables from staff with no direct authority over them. Demonstrated ability and willingness to perform as a team member on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize commitments and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with high expectations for quality. Demonstrated initiative with an entrepreneurial, 'can-do' spirit. Demonstrated flexibility and versatility with an ability to understand issues from multiple points of view, but also possess a bias toward action with an ability to follow through on implementation. Hazardous Working Conditions/Environment
This position involves both work that requires a physical presence at the Richland, Washington PNNL Campus and can also offer a percentage of remote work from an adequate personal working environment.
Additional InformationThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Requirements:
