We are looking for individuals with experience as ABA or school aide to join our team as Behavior School Aides at a public school. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a student in either general education or special education settings. Behavior Aides collaborate with Teachers, Clinical Supervisors, and Clinical Directors to implement personalized curricula. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts lasting between 5 to 7.5 hours. Time off is granted for major holidays, school breaks, and staff development days.

For those passionate about psychology and education, ABA presents an exciting and evolving field. At BxM, we provide mentoring, tutoring, and complimentary BCBA & RBT supervision to individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Behavior Analyst. We offer supervision and training on a weekly basis for graduate students seeking to accumulate experience towards obtaining their BCBA credentials.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the student in behavior management, provide breaks, implement motivational systems, and facilitate transitions between tasks and environments.
  • Record daily data on relevant behaviors and graph the outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Implement the student's behavior intervention plan daily and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Keep supervisors informed of progress towards each student's daily objectives.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
  • Display willingness and openness to learn Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with an emphasis on Verbal Behavior (VB).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of state and federal background checks
  • Prior experience working with children with autism or other disabilities
  • At least a year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and/or school aide roles is preferred
  • RBT credentials are highly desirable
