The Women's Health and Genetics division of Labcorp is seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant to join their team This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to the Genetic Counseling team for our NIPT lab in San Diego.
Please note: this position has the option to work remotely or onsite at our San Diego laboratory. Candidate must reside within the US.

The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM PST (with some flexibility).
Responsibilities:
- Work with the lab Genetic Counselor team to support clients that ordered testing performed at Labcorp
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from Labcorp clients, health care providers, Labcorp's laboratories and branches to coordinate all applicable genetic testing
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve any problems related to testing by contacting clients or other Labcorp facilities
- Document case work and interactions with clients
- Triage calls from clients
- Track samples and provide updates to providers
- Proactive outcome collection
- Abnormal result notifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science
- 2 years' related Customer Service experience preferred
- 1+ years' experience in the healthcare industry such as a hospital or physician's office highly desired
- Previous experience as a Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) highly preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Strong project management skills
Pay range: $25-33/hr
