Duties Description This Children and Family Services Specialist 1 (CFSS 1 MG) will work within the Supply and Workforce unit to support various grant programs within the Child Care division. Responsibilities of this position include: assisting in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and in creating content for distribution and the OCFS website, assisting in implementing initiatives related to the child care workforce, supporting grant development including reviewing and scoring proposals, and voucher/payment approval, participating in site visits to granted programs and providing technical assistance to the Division's grantees, representing the Division at various meetings and workgroups, communicating with the Public Information Office when necessary, and providing overall general support to the Division. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Additional Comments Background Investigation Requirements:1) All prospective employees will be investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. All convictions must be reported; conviction of a felony or misdemeanor, or any falsified or omitted information on the prospective appointee's employment application, may bar appointment or result in removal after appointment. Prospective employees will be required to pay any necessary fees. 3) For Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY) prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment and may have their names removed from the eligible list(s) for the title(s) if applicable.
