About the Role:The Family Preservation Program (FPP) is a home-based program that provides therapy and support to families in their homes. The program aims to reduce the risk of removal and promote a stable and nurturing family environment. As a Family Preservation Counselor, you will work with families to identify strengths, create a stronger family goal, and develop preventative and responsive skills to crisis.
Responsibilities:- Provide home-based, solution-focused case management support and/or crisis interventions to individuals and families.
- Model and teach basic life skills to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient.
- Assess safety, structure the environment, and use clinical strategies designed to promote safety.
- Coordinate and facilitate parent and adolescent groups.
- Carry a full caseload of 2-3 families assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with applicable experience in the human services field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work with families in an 'in-home' context.
- Knowledge of family systems theory and home-based interventions.
- Competitive salary based on education and experience.
- 120 hours of vacation time.
