About the Role:

The Family Preservation Program (FPP) is a home-based program that provides therapy and support to families in their homes. The program aims to reduce the risk of removal and promote a stable and nurturing family environment. As a Family Preservation Counselor, you will work with families to identify strengths, create a stronger family goal, and develop preventative and responsive skills to crisis.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide home-based, solution-focused case management support and/or crisis interventions to individuals and families.
  • Model and teach basic life skills to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient.
  • Assess safety, structure the environment, and use clinical strategies designed to promote safety.
  • Coordinate and facilitate parent and adolescent groups.
  • Carry a full caseload of 2-3 families assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with applicable experience in the human services field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work with families in an 'in-home' context.
  • Knowledge of family systems theory and home-based interventions.
