Job Duties:
(vary depending on location of internship)Inspecting and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts.
Following engineering drawings and specifications to install, connect, or bond aircraft parts using adhesives, rivets, or threaded fasteners.
Ensures fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements.
Preparing and using fixtures to aid in locating, bonding, or drilling aircraft parts.
Routing wire harnesses in accordance with specifications.
Work with adhesives, bonding aircraft parts.
Welding and machining metal parts.
Qualifications:
Current High School junior or seniorHave completed a minimum of 2 manufacturing and/or aviation-based coursesMechanically inclined background is preferred, but not required.
Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.
Must be able to lift varying weight repeatedly.
Additional Requirements:
Students will work 8-10 hours/ week on 2-3 days/ weekMust be able to work in the AM.Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
Must be at least 16 years old at the date of hire.
