Job Overview

Work Schedule: Weekend Shift Wednesday - Saturday 7:00am - 5:30pm

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in executing routine repairs and preventive maintenance on tools, diagnosing production tooling challenges, and supporting the integration of new tools and processes into the manufacturing workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production teams to identify root causes of tooling issues, including maintaining tool logs and suggesting improvements for process quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas by adhering to 5S principles
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Follow all relevant documentation, such as work instructions, related to job responsibilities, and may be assigned to various work areas based on production demands
  • Address ongoing tooling issues with recommendations for process enhancements and/or engineering changes as directed by the Manufacturing Engineer
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in using measurement tools such as scales, micrometers, and calipers
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools including screwdrivers, drill drivers, and hammers
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Skilled in assembling components based on engineering specifications
  • Understanding of basic machinery design, operation, repair, and maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
