Kforce's client, a small but growing and established semiconductor company is seeking SMTS Dry Etch Process Engineers in Tempe, AZ. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. We have been recruiting for this company for over 10 years now and placed many engineers there. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for advanced technology etch development, as well as integration. The Engineer will also be responsible for lot qualification plans and tracking. This role works with the test group and the materials development team to understand the interactions of device performance and experimental conditions. This position is hybrid remote (3 days from home and 2 days in the office). Responsibilities:
  • SMTS Dry Etch Process Engineers will optimize the etch process processes
  • Work with the test and materials development groups to understand and improve the interactions of the circuit and test conditions on yield and defect metrics
  • Understand and improve the integration of process flow
  • As a SMTS Dry Etch Process Engineer, you will perform process qualification planning and tracking
  • Thrive working in a cross functional environment to define and execute product characterization and validation plans
  • Manage and communicate qualification plans, timelines, status, and results internally and externally

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar field
  • 6-10+ years of post-graduate dry etch plasma etch process development, or equivalent education and experience is desired
  • Strong Dry Etch process development experience
  • Experience optimizing the Dry Etch process
  • Experience in Process Development/CZ of Dry Etch including Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Demonstrated track record of process improvement
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in team environment
  • Team player and commitment to excellence
  • Experience with foundries is a plus
  • Process transfer experience is a plus
  • Experience with metal etch is a plus
  • Experience with Memory IC's such as SRAM, DRAM, TRAM, EEPROM, EPROM, DDR, Flash, Emerging Memory, or others are a plus but not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
