Overview:

This role involves the effective application of core engineering principles and methodologies. The Senior Process Engineer is expected to derive solutions from both formal education and practical experience. Under general supervision, this position will manage and execute engineering tasks for a segment of a significant project or for projects of moderate complexity. The individual may also guide Technicians and junior Process Engineers. The primary focus is on the advancement or enhancement of tangible products or designs. The standard workflow includes ideation, prototype development, testing, and refinement of designs.

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this role, the individual must competently fulfill each of the primary responsibilities. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  1. Showcase EVG technology to potential clients.
  2. Coordinate and execute equipment and process demonstrations for prospective clients.
  3. Provide process assistance to clients (both remotely and on-site), as well as to sales and service teams.
  4. Organize and deliver contract services for clients.
  5. Investigate and enhance new and existing processes.
  6. Conduct acceptance testing on new equipment in operational settings.
  7. Perform parametric screening and experimental development.
  8. Compile technical documentation.
  9. Participate in trade exhibitions and technical symposiums.
  10. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally overnight, as required, up to 50% of the time. A valid passport is necessary.
  11. This position necessitates the use of company vehicles for business purposes. Individuals must be capable of safely operating vehicles, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain acceptable driving records.
  12. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. May involve the creation of new products or modification of existing ones, including product line extensions, selection, and testing of suitable materials, ingredients, or components.
  2. Responding to client inquiries for specific products or designs.
  3. Adhere to company and laboratory policies.
  4. Maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment. Monitor consumable usage and reorder supplies as necessary.
  5. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the laboratory.
Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:
  1. A four-year engineering degree is required, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science and Engineering disciplines.
  2. Applicants should possess a minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in process engineering.
  3. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to colleagues and engineers.
  4. Strong computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office applications.
  5. Familiarity with JMP software is preferred.
  6. Completion of Kepner-Tregoe Problem Solving Decision Making training is advantageous.
  7. Experience with chemical handling and semiconductor processing for MEMS or IC applications is desirable.
  8. Project management capabilities for smaller projects.
Physical Requirements:
  1. While performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary. The individual must frequently use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls and occasionally reach above shoulder level.
  2. Ability to wear appropriate cleanroom attire and work within the cleanroom environment up to 75% of the time.
