Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a Chip & Wire production environment, requiring substantial experience in Chip & Wire manufacturing, including equipment selection, assembly instruction development, workforce recruitment, and leadership.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving near-perfect manufacturing quality.
  • Enhance manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, spatial planning, and equipment layout optimization, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Assess manufacturing processes via data analysis, experimental design, and time studies, applying knowledge of product design and materials to streamline production tasks.
  • Develop manufacturing methodologies by analyzing product specifications, researching, designing, modifying, and testing production techniques and equipment, while collaborating with equipment suppliers.
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing testing protocols, validating products/processes, and establishing manufacturing standards.
  • Provide insights for manufacturing decisions by calculating production costs, reviewing schedules, and estimating future capacity needs.
  • Compile product and process reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data trends, including yield and defect analysis using statistical methods.
  • Deliver training and support to manufacturing personnel to ensure adherence to processes and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging with professional networks.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expert-level experience in Chip & Wire manufacturing is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in SMT, soldering, wire bonding, die attach, and other electronic assembly techniques.
  • Proficient in World Class manufacturing principles, including Just in Time Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO-9000 standards and processes.
  • Proven ability to implement systems for certification and audits.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated history of resolving technical challenges, managing projects, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in Solid State and TWT power amplifier manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight.

Education:

A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, along with 3 years of relevant experience is required.
