The IC Electrical Design Engineer Position

As an IC Electrical Design Engineer for packaging, you will become part of an integral team and lead packaging for custom in-house photonic, analog, and digital ICs supporting next-generation optical components.

The role responsibilities include:

  • will lead electrical design and development of advanced IC packages from concept through to production
  • packaging architecture definition, signal and power integrity analysis, and thermal simulation
  • will design package interconnects, including flip-chips and wire bonds and through-silicon vias (TSVs), to meet electrical requirements and manufacturing constraints
  • with design teams within semiconductors to define package and optimize I/O placement, and ensure seamless integration with ICs.
  • innovative solutions to overcome challenges related to high-speed signalling, power delivery and EMI

What we need for the IC Electrical Design Engineer Position

  • or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; MS or PhD preferred.
  • years of experience in IC package electrical design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • in semiconductor packaging technologies, including wire bonding, flip-chip, and advanced packaging techniques
  • with package-level simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and SiWave
  • understanding of signal and power integrity principles,
  • in industry-standard design tools, such as Cadence Allegro, Mentor Xpedition and/or Keysight ADS.
