Position Summary

The HR Specialist at Briefly plays a pivotal role in overseeing various initiatives within the Human Resources department and the larger firm to ensure its efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong blend of cross-functional work, organizational acumen, and HR expertise.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Day to day HR support Answer employee inquiries, manage LOAs, departures, exit interviews, benefits, and 401(k) administration. Respond to industry survey requests.
  • Training Programs & Strategy: Lead the coordination and delivery of training programs and initiatives. Manage CLE coordination for attorneys.
  • Recruiting & Onboarding Assist the Senior HR Director with recruiting and onboarding. This includes posting open roles, sourcing candidates, initial phone screens, preparing offers, onboarding, HR paperwork, and orientation.
  • Ad-Hoc Operational Duties Work closely with the Senior HR Director to manage reporting, compliance, and keep firm policies up to date. Participate in updating the department's processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Performance Reviews & Compensation: Provide administrative support for the annual performance review and compensation processes. Assist with building out salary bands and competencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a HR capacity.
  • Solution oriented and resourceful.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work effectively with minimal direction.
  • Significant experience in operations and human resource functionalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
