About the job:
Kent is looking for an Proposal Writer / Coordinator

Your responsibilities:
Job Objectives

Embrace and live the safety principles developed within the Kent Group. Demonstrate these behaviours and advocate the vision.
Support the Proposal Leader in preparing comprehensive responses to RFIs, EOIs, SOIs, PQQs and RFPs.
Read the documents from the customers and understand the response requirements.

Prepare a program to respond to the customer requirements including a schedule and the response writing plan which will identify the lead writers, main contributors and the review team with specific deadlines.

Coordinate the input from all parties, collate the documents and write sections as directed by the proposal leader.
Ensure the work is carried out in compliance with the applicable KMS procedures.

Any other work as directed by the immediate supervisor within the scope and objectives of the Estimating & Proposals department.

identify opportunities for optimizing collaboration using Microsoft Teams or equivalent.
Configure and customize MS Teams channels, tabs, and settings to align with proposal requirements.
Train other team members on best practices for using IT tools effectively in Proposals environment.
Identify and assist Implementation of integrations with other tools and applications to enhance productivity and workflow automation.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to team members as needed.
Stay updated on new features and capabilities of Kent IT Tools and recommend enhancements to existing setups.
Monitor usage and adoption of MS Teams and other IT Tools and provide insights for continuous improvement.

What is the most challenging part of the job?


Development of highest quality project proposals, compliance with company procedures (including KMS), timely submission of proposals, timely response to requests from clients and winning the contract in conjunction with the rest of the development teams.


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/Certification:

Degree in related field eg:
engineering

Communication:
Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Core Competencies:


To support the Proposal Leaders (Lead Proposal Writer, Proposal Engineer, Proposal Manager etc.) through the complete cycle of RFIs, EOIs, SOIs, PQQs and proposal preparation all the way to contract award and handover.

Excellent English language (writing) skills.
Minimum 5 years proposal writing/coordination experience.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Good interpersonal and team-working skills.
Flexible.
Highly motivated.
Self-starter.
Ability to work and deliver under pressure and demanding work conditions.
Adaptability to change.
Excellent computer skills, especially MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint at power user level.
Ability to understand and operate SharePoint.
