Basic Job Functions:
  • Lead a diverse team spread across multiple locations in accomplishing projects and initiatives that facilitate and optimize businesses processes across the Group.
  • Identify and implement information technology applications that support business operations or create new strategic options aligned to the business.
  • Direct the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet business needs of the Vulcraft-Verco Group.
  • Understand critical business processes (purchasing, sales, production, shipping, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
  • Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer solutions across the Group.
  • Collabore extensively with VVG leaders and other shared services teams such as Automation and Innovation to accelerate time to value for VVG
  • Work closely with the broader Nucor Business Technology Team to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Ability to travel extensively across multiple locations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing one or more primary information processing functions (operations, development, etc.).
  • At least two (2) years of experience leading an Information Systems related team.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related discipline
Significant work experience in a metal products manufacturing environment
Knowledge of software development methodologies
Project management experience leading small to large projects and development of project plans
Experience with managing remote teams
Comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge of hardware and software with the ability to keep abreast of new technologies.
Demonstrate ability to create a vision & strategy for technology teams that includes people, process and technology
Familiarity with acceleration & adoption strategies for cloud, data, custom software development and emerging technologies (AI, VR, AR)
