Senior IT Support Specialist

About the Role
This position supports the Hispanic Technology Executive Council's IT operations and provides on-site technical support. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the primary IT support for the organization, which may include some after-hours and weekend activities.
What IT Client Support Contributes to the Hispanic Technology Executive Council
The IT department oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers IT solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of client and warehouse/manufacturing hardware, software, operating systems, network configuration, server interaction, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- May assist with the resolution of advanced issues, including legacy hardware, manufacturing, and PLC systems.
- Installs, removes, configures hardware, software, and applications.
- Replaces and rebuilds hardware components as needed.
- Documents current software and processes to work as an intermediary to other support teams.
- Confers with end-users, technology teams, and vendors to resolve incidents and fulfill requests.
- Provides support via in-person, phone, or remote methods.
- Ability to work independently or via a team collaboration process.
- Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills to manage and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Partners with end-users to correlate business requirements to technology solutions (strong business acumen).
- Prioritizes effectively and escalates as needed.
- Responds to customer needs and services as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-platform environments, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, Citrix Environment, Microsoft W365, Android, and iOS preferred.
- Good understanding of network topologies: Ethernet, Wireless, Segmentation, and TCP/IP protocols preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, network configuration, server interaction, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of warehouse technologies, such as laser printers, Zebra printers, wearable/handheld terminals, iPads, and scanners.
- Knowledge of PLC support and virtualization software a plus.
- Prior support of manufacturing processes recommended.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $26.60 per hour to $38.10 per hour.
