*This is a remote-based field position. Candidates should be located in one of the following states: California, Oregon, Washington, North or West Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, or Colorado preferred within driving distance of major airport*

The field engineer will be responsible for supporting Sales by addressing complaints on Continental commercial tires as well as other products offered. The field engineer will support customers with warranty determination on complaints, provide topical training to both dealers and users, and report on product performance in the US.


• Adjudicate warranty on commercial tires and other products that are offered by Continental and provide feedback to customers on findings


• Assist and direct Sales with product complaints


• Enter all complaints into the Global Complaint Handling system, track these complaints and report trends


• Escalate topics of interest into continuous process improvement platform and participate in monthly meetings.


• Track product performance on targeted products


• Provide training to Sales, Fleets and Dealers on failure modes and other technical topics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of industry related experience to include: truck tire sales/engineering, retreading, and/or automotive or technical customer service
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Travel up to 75% domestically
  • Business-fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to handle commercial tires to include moving, stacking, inspecting.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will only sponsor current Continental employees for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering related degree
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience in a Truck Tire Shop working with New tire and retread Failure Analysis
