We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at the City of Amarillo, Texas. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures to protect our systems and data from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security solutions and provide training and awareness programs to employees.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies to ensure our systems remain secure and compliant.
- Participate in incident response and crisis management efforts to minimize the impact of security breaches.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security architecture, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards, including CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- CISSP, ISSAP, or CISM certification.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud security, including AWS or Azure.
