The Ames Middle School coaching team has an opening for an Assistant Girls Cross Country Coach for the upcoming school year. Take a look at the details: Work Schedule: 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday during the season, with additional hours required on meet days.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Assist the Head Cross Country Coach in maintaining a competitive program
  • Comply with and stay informed on all District policies and procedures
  • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines at all times
  • Foster a sense of inclusivity and belonging for athletes and families
  • Be consistently punctual and present at work
  • Support other assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization
  • Prior experience coaching cross country at youth, middle school, or high school levels is preferred
