What role you will play in our team
  • Mechanical / Machinery Maintenance Technician for the Cotton Valley Gas Plant locatedin Cotton Valley, Louisiana
  • The technician will provide the functional, day-to-day maintenance support andsurveillance of assigned fixed and rotating equipment
  • The Mechanical / Machinery Maintenance Technician must master effective workingknowledge of safe work practices (both general operating unit safe work practices as wellas rotating / fixed equipment specific safe work practices)
  • Technician will generally be involved with trouble-shooting or repairing rotating equipmentsuch as pumps, turbines, compressors, etc.
  • Mechanics will also support fixed equipment, e.g. valves, heat exchangers and reboilers.
  • Work Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, but must be able to support planton an after-hours and on-call basis
What you will do
  • The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
  • Safely perform duties with strict adherence to procedures, use personal protective equipment (PPE) and company policy
  • Ownership of personal safety and safety of co-workers
  • Develop thorough working knowledge of assigned rotating or fixed equipment, operating limits and underlying equipment strategies.
  • Obtain certifications as may be required to support specific equipment or OEM warranty provisions, etc.
  • Develop thorough working knowledge of and demonstrate strict adherence to safe work practices.
  • Comply with safe work standards (Lock-Out / Tag-Out, Management of Change, Procedure compliance, etc.)
  • Conduct assigned surveillance / maintenance responsibilities adhering to PM and general equipment strategy requirements.
  • May involve developing and/or executing maintenance plans to isolate equipment for maintenance or return to service.
  • Monitor equipment, look for unusual conditions or measurements, support optimization and troubleshooting activities.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements associated with equipment performance, emission etc.
About You
  • Ability to work outside in both hot and cold environments and at times adverse weatherconditions
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders and stairs
  • Must be able to work in a team setting as well as function independently
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and take call-outs when needed
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • Formal training and/or at least 3 years of experience on maintaining Caterpillar 3500 and3600 series engines
  • Have a working knowledge and basic knowledge of instrumentation principles such asdifferential pressure, temperature, flow, and pressure control
  • Read and decipher data sheets, control drawings, and P&ID's
  • Have a working knowledge of maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting other processequipment such as pumps, valves and exchangers
  • Good computer skills
  • Good communication skills written and verbal
