Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar power plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections and testing to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant performance.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize plant efficiency.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a power plant or PV solar O&M/EPC environment; 2+ years of field experience with significant I&E, I&C, and/or C&I electrician experience considered in lieu of applicable solar experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals, including electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid state theory application.
- Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid state driver's license and good driving record required.
- Journeyman certification/qualifications in electrical or mechanical trade.
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience with solar power plant operations and maintenance.
