We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kansas Employer. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic work.
- Assist with grounds keeping duties, including mowing, trimming, and cleaning.
- Report need for minor or major repairs to building systems.
- Assist with moving, setting up, and storing audio visual, classroom equipment, and curriculum materials.
- Use cleaning implements, equipment, machinery, and vehicles provided by the district to accomplish tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance work with working knowledge of various phases of maintenance.
- Licensed driver in the state of Kansas.
- Must meet all district safety requirements.
- Ability to effectively use district email.
- Must demonstrate ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Must support district mission, goals, and objectives.
The Maintenance Technician will work in and around dust, fumes, and odors, noisy and crowded environments, and work indoors and outdoors year-round in a variety of temperatures. Must manage job requirements with physical mobility to move from place to place.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 60+ lbs. may be required.
