Under the direction of the Supervisor of Medical Staff Services, the Credentialing Coordinator will complete a variety of support activities to assist with the many credentialing and enrollment activities in the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supporting credentialing and enrollment workRun primary source verifications for credentialing representativesEnter data into credentialing systemsMonitor and complete Epic work queuesComplete enrollment and credentialing activitiesSend clinician remindersUpdate quality portal websitesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)2+ years of experience working in the healthcare industryIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsCurrently resides within 50 miles of Seattle, WASoft Skills:
Knowledge of computers and copiers/scannersAbility to read, interpret and apply rules, processes and proceduresAbility to assess situations, use good judgement and ask for help when neededStrong project management and organizational skills following systematic method of performing a taskAbility to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacyAbility to communicate and present information in a concise, organized and positive mannerSuperior time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to comprehend and execute detailed instructionsAbility to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressureMake observations and recommendations for improvementFamiliar with computer software applicationsSkilled in establishing and maintaining relationships*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for Washington residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour.
