We are hiring a Security System Engineer to support the FAA SWIM program
  • Design, test, and implement state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products
  • Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design
  • Handle a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
  • Responsible for leading individual projects or technical/functional solutions
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in related field and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of NIST security guidelines
  • Understanding of NIST based Security Authorization activities
  • Familiarity with FAA National Airspace System (NAS) Operational and Security design constraints
  • Experience with writing system requirements and design specifications
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies and industry best practices
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong background in network security and experience with FAA security best practices
  • Knowledge of system-to-system messaging protocols and technologies
  • Experience with deployment in a cloud environment such as AWS
  • Experience providing engineering support to FAA Mission Support and NAS programs
