Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Federal Solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a critical network in support of Technical Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and install internal and external networks using knowledge of network systems.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot network systems to eliminate problems and improve performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support network operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in network engineering, with 3+ years preferred.
  • Certifications: JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Secret clearance.
  • Experience with physical network hardware installation and security systems.
  • Hands-on experience with network security technologies and monitoring tools.
  • Automation and scripting experience in support of network deployments.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise network environments with high-availability requirements.

Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
  • DoD certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.
  • Experience with firewalls, automated network builds, and security hardening.
  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Defensive Cyber Operations Concepts.
  • Military experience or former DoD experience.
