Job Description:
- Perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks while assisting physicians and supervisors. Administrative responsibilities include appointment scheduling and maintaining medical records. Clinical tasks involve taking vital signs, recording medical histories, preparing patients for exams, drawing blood, and administering medications under physician guidance.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program or completed a formal Medical Assistant training program that covers pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and a clinical externship.
- Experience: Not required
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Active LPN license in Missouri or certification/registration from CoxHealth approved programs such as CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP. Must obtain BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.
