Key Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient information, including medical history, chief complaints, and vital signs, to prepare for physician examination.
- Assist physicians during examinations and treatments, adhering to Infection Control Policy and scope of practice.
- Administer prescribed care and treatments within scope of practice, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families, advocating for their rights and addressing service complaints.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
- Stay up-to-date with education and training, attending relevant programs and reading current literature to enhance knowledge and skills.
- LPN or CMA certification from an approved program.
- Current licensure in the state of Illinois or certification for CMA.
- CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines within 30 days of hire.
This role is based in an office setting, with a mix of sitting and standing throughout the day. Minimal lifting is required, with occasional lifting for orthopedics, geriatrics, and internal medicine.
