  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead design development, contract document preparation, manage construction costs, handle agency correspondence, nurture client relationships, and supervise staff
    • Spearhead an engineering team, providing guidance to staff and strategically growing the department
    • Focus on business development, engaging with the community to foster the company's expansion
    • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and adherence to budget and time constraints
    • Ensure quality control of construction document preparation and design
    • Coordinate permitting and liaise with relevant authorities
    • Manage project proposals, contracts, scheduling, budgets, and invoicing
    • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with clients, staff, and the public
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    • Professional Engineer Registration required (North Carolina and South Carolina preferred)
    • Minimum of 8 years of engineering design and project management experience
    • Experience in a fast-paced environment with varied project demands
    • Strong background in land development, site planning, and construction document preparation
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software
    • Business development and financial management skills
    • Experience with jurisdiction codes, technical specifications, and QA/QC programs
    • Capable of presenting in front of boards or councils
    • Must pass drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record
