Debug & Validation Engineer / VMware Enablement

The Datacenter Ecosystems and Applications Engineering team (DEAE) is looking for a senior systems engineer to join our team responsible for engineering collaboration with VMware development, solution, and product teams to enable, validate, debug, and support AMD's EPYC processors with VMware's products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with AMD and VMware architects, Field Engineers, Partners and Customers to identify areas of integrations/enhancements/performance between AMD EPYC and VMware products.

Work with stakeholders across companies to implement identified improvements end to end.
Drive creation and publication of validated AMD EPYC based solutions on VMware product stack to drive customer adoption.
Manage customer expectations and drive resolution of escalations within SLAs including reproduction, triage and verification.
Collaborate with Product Marketing, Support and Sales organizations for POCs targeting key customers.
Present technical updates to management, peers, and engineering teams.
Preferred Experience includes
Strong communication skills and direct experience working with partners and/or customers.
Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Good understanding of the workings of computer hardware subsystems, including Processors, Memory, Networking and Storage, in virtualized and non-virtualized environments.

Experience with hardware performance benchmarking, validation and certification.
Working knowledge of the VMware product stack is highly preferred including vSphere, VSAN, NSX-T, VCF and VMware TCP.
Understanding of the private cloud market, customer and partner ecosystem.
Familiarity with the silicon lifecycle.
Experience in driving solutions end-to-end with partners and OEMs.
