Frank Beverage Group in Onalaska, WI is now hiring a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and controlling all first shift activities to ensure efficient utilization of the warehouse facilities for storing, loading and distribution of company products. This position is also responsible for supervising first shift warehouse staff, overseeing the unloading and receiving of inventory, and performing cycle counting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the receiving, shipping, and storing of products, equipment, merchandise, and supplies; check and verify all pre-billed orders for accuracy
  2. Inspect products against orders and specifications for correctness and for damage
  3. Supervise the loading and unloading of route trucks and semitrailers; unload and receive trucks and puts merchandise away in appropriate locations using correct freshness dating
  4. Check special order kegs daily for accuracy
  5. Daily review of inventory code dates for product freshness, as per company and supplier specifications; analyze product inventory discrepancies and record adjustments
  6. Supervisor all first shift warehouse staff; provide training to warehouse employees and assist with the hiring of staff
  7. Direct the planning and assignments of work of warehouse personnel and equipment
  8. Monitor work to ensure that it is being performed properly and safely by all personnel; recommend and implement measures to improve worker motivation, equipment performance, work methods
  9. Stock and fill various products throughout the warehouse using correct freshness dating
  10. Moves product to back stock locations; manage back stock locations by organizing and rotating stock accurately
  11. Oversee replenishment of picking floor and modules
  12. Perform cycle counting and balance product inventory
  13. Fill out and turn in breakage log to the following shift
  14. Plan day-to-day departmental operations; develop and implement work methods
  15. Evaluate and recommend changes in methods and procedures in assigned areas of responsibilities
  16. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  17. Complete knowledge of all state and federal laws related to the company business
  18. Adheres to supplier and company quality and freshness standards in inventory and loading practices.
  19. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required
  2. Must obtain sufficient knowledge of company products to answer routine inquiries; Must obtain knowledge of supplier policies especially freshness standards and product markings
  3. Experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment is required; ability to obtain company forklift and equipment certifications is required
  4. Knowledge of warehouse operations and warehouse management systems is preferred
  5. Product knowledge is preferred
  6. Leadership, supervisory or management experience is preferred
  7. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products is preferred
  8. Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude
  9. Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
  10. Attention to detail
  11. Strong organization skills
  12. Possess good visual acuity at various distances with dimensional depth perception and color distinction
  13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated
  14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely
  15. Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and comprehend verbal and/or written communications
  16. Ability to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers and customers in respectful manner
  17. Ability to learn and operate all the necessary equipment safely
  18. Ability to operate a computer, hand-held computer, voice picking commands and scanner
  19. Ability to manage personnel
  20. Ability to resolve conflicts and work well with others
  21. Ability to troubleshoot process or systems errors
  22. Ability to communication, read and interpret documents written in English such as pick documents, safety rules and procedure manuals

Qualifications:

  1. Successful completion of Post-Offer Pre-Employment Physical Assessment

Safety and Equipment:

  1. Steel-Toed/ANSI Standard Shoes are required
  2. Company paid uniform is required to be worn at all times
