We are a GROWING COMPANY: Behavioral Care Solutions is the largest psychiatric and psycho-social services provider in long-term care in the Mid-West, supporting 600 long-term care facilities in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and expanding.

We have immediate openings for an LMSW who specialize, or have interest, in geriatric, psychiatric and medical social work in conjunction with the provision of behavioral health services.

Part-Time of Full-Time

Locations: We currently have an opening in Canton, MI

We offer the Candidate:

  • DAYTIME position; M-F w flexibility as arranged with practice manager
  • Autonomy within facilities and with clinical support and supervision
  • Direct clinical contacts with elders and marginalized clients
  • Dedicated Practice Manager for scheduling, authorizations, operational support
  • I-team approach
  • Electronic charting with modern medical record
  • Paid malpractice and competitive salary and benefits (for full time)

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct psycho-social services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment of nursing home residents.
  • Includes individual, group and family therapies.
  • See patients per day. Can flex and see more or less to accommodate scheduling as needed, focus on work life balance
  • Collaboration with I team to ensure best practice and quality outcomes as well as assure continuity of care.
  • Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and medically necessary documentation of clinical contacts.
  • Direct clinical role.

Qualifications of the Social Worker:

  • LMSW; Masters from an accredited University plus 1-2 years' experience.
  • Full State license.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients, coworkers and other relevant professional contacts.
  • Proficient with use of technology (medical records, word, excel, etc.)

The Following is a Plus:

  • 1+ years' experience providing mental health services, particularly healthcare settings in Nursing Homes.
  • Experience with Medicare guidelines, standards of care and documentation.
